In case you didn't see my IG post or unforgivably long snap chat story regarding the new products I'm trying, here they are in all their glory!
Natasha Denona is a world renowned makeup artist currently located in Israel. In 2002 and 2006 Natasha was elected Makeup Artist of the Year in the Oscars of the Israeli Fashion World. After winning these awards, she opened up her own makeup academy to teach other MUA's her techniques. She then went on to her most recent project; creating the Natasha Denona Makeup Line. From what I can see, it is currently only being sold directly from her website and not through other retailers. I always find it scary to purchase things without being able to touch or smell the product but the reviews I've seen have been nothing short of fantastic so I took my chances.
Products I purchased:
Face Glow Foundation in 02
Face Glow Cream Shimmer in 01 Light.
All Over Glow Shimmer Powder in 01.
Body Glow in 01
Single Eyeshadow in Moonstone
Mascara Tool (not sure of the actual name but you'll see it!)
The Face Glow Foundation in 02 is pretty close to my skin tone. It's a little more beige than I prefer but had I done the 03, it probably would have been too dark. I wore this alone yesterday and initially the smell caught me off guard but it does go away (HUGE for me!). It melted into my skin and left this dewy, supple skin look after I applied it with my beauty blender! Throughout the day, I did get a little bit oily but the product itself held up well. The coverage is what I consider a "low medium". One layer was good for me so I didn't try to build it up at all. You would really need to let it dry before going in for a second layer. Overall, loved it's performance. Today I mixed it with my baby (Makeup Forever HD Liquid Foundation) and for me, this is dead on the perfect coverage with a subtle glow. I'll be doing this A LOT. <3
The Face Glow Cream Shimmer... sooooo beautiful BUT, you need to be careful with the application. The foundation was dewy, this is like 100 times more dewy than that. Work in sections and start small. I can't even put into words how beautiful the dewy glow was. It's like the glow you wish you had when you wake up in the morning with a little suntan. I don't know. It's beautiful and destroys the Benefit Glow highlighter.
All Over Glow Shimmer Powder. If you're looking to really STROBE (hate this word) but seriously if you want to GLOW, THIS is your baby. Period. End of discussion. I have tried Too Faced Snow Bunny and Candlelight, NARS Albatross, BECCA shimmering skin in Opal and Moonstone... NOTHING, NOT ONE of those can even COMPETE with the quality and shimmer of this. Especially when placed on top of the Glow Cream. Done. RIP to all other highlighters. This is subtle without looking like a sparkle face and doesn't make you look oily. It is truly a LIT from within highlighter.
Body Glow. So I'm not going to lie, I only put some of this on my forearm to test it out. The only other product I can compare it to is the TANtilizer by Lorac and this just makes the TANtilizer look like a Jergen's cream. It is water and transfer resistant and gave off such a beautiful, subtle glow. I would kill to put this on the collarbones and shoulders of a bride after making her glow in the face with the other products. The whole GLOW line was just so well thought out and the quality is insane.
The Single Eyeshadow. I'm so pissed I didn't buy a palette. I know EXACTLY what I will be saving for. The swatch of this was seriously stupid. I used zero primer and did one swipe on my finger to transfer it to my wrist. I've never seen anything like this. The color and the pigment can't be compared to anything. I thought Makeup Geek's pigment transfer was incredible... this is somehow even better. I can't wait to save up for her palettes.
The Mascara Tool. This little number was mostly just for my kit. I'm so sick of using my business cards on my clients to block the mascara from hitting their fresh eye shadow applications so this is my new life saver. It's curved to sit on the eyelid and allows you to separate the lashes against it. Very nifty device that will be using A LOT in my world.
In conclusion, I can honestly say I've never purchased so much from one brand and loved EVERY SINGLE THING that I got. The Glow Line is incredible, it's like the Ronda Rousey of highlighting. Nothing can beat it. The eye shadows are something of my wildest dreams. Yesterday I wore the foundation, glow cream and shimmer powder (amongst other things) and a woman from work walked into my office and was like, "Wow! Don't you just look so refreshed today!" Boom!! Who doesn't like looking awake?! She also has this Black Eye Shadow line that looks like the best thing in the world. I have some pictures I'm going to post but truly it doesn't do it justice. When the "glow" hits the light it is the most incredible thing you will see. If you don't believe me, check out @ashglamour_makeup @babsbeauty_ @nikkietutorials @desimakeup and @dressyourface on their review of some of the products they have tried! I have a feeling that Natasha will be very busy and expanding in the next year!
Until next time.. probably soon because makeup is life ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
